Blog #8

Since the last blog we have finished and showed our trailer. I would say we did the best trailer we could. It wasn't easy to create a certain message through editing film but we did alright. We have two interviews lined up that should be great for our video. The march 1st filming deadline definitely snuck up on our group but I think everything will work out. We could still distribute the workload a little better.

I enjoyed the reading because it demonstrated how social change can happen. The government put some trust in the people and the people reduced violence or at least were enriched with the gift of love. Social change isn't easy. At first they didn't think the youth would embrace non-violence. I also found it interesting that tue author described the kids as victims of the slums and that they had no alternative way of life. It is as if the slum capture these kids and they can't leave until they die. With this life it is obvious why the kids would revolt in violence. All the people have is there own bodies and that's all they had to sacrifice for peace.

Blog #6

The documentary is going smoothly. We have completed one interview and have b-roll from a couple of different sites. It has been hard for us to stay focused on our topic of how soccer provides opportunity. It is easy to stray from the focus. It has worked well for us to talk about before we shoot what exactly we want to capture and what we want to prove. I am still confused and unclear on how the footage is going to come together for the trailer but we will see. At this point about half the group is working so we are about 50 percent efficiency. I would say that we could pick up our work effort but for now we are doing alright.

I have not read many things worth this style of writing. It was almost a poem bit also seemed like a word problem from math class. It also reminded me of catch 22 because the 6th person will never be allowed to be in the group. No matter what he does he won't be allowed. They can also not explain to him why he can't be in the group because a long explanation would be accepting. It is a true catch 22. This reading was satisfying bit also leaves we thinking about the 6th guy. I had not considered before why we have friends? In the reading the group questions why they are even a group. The answer was incomplete which left me thinking why do we have friends or why do we associate ourselves with other people. While trying to come up with an assed I keep just thinking so what. So all I can say is that life is about enjoyment and we find enjoyment in having friends.

Blog #4 Mitch

Our project is goig very good. We have charted out how we want are video to be. We have contacted people the we want interview for our project. A tricky part coming up is svheduling our interviews and trying to get them with a nice background. Our group could really increase production if we all work. At this point just two of us are doing work.
This was the best reading so far. It was short and sweet but answered a philisofical question of existing within the city. The black man was talking about his existence within the city. They learned from eachother.
Reflection:
usually when somebody gets me wrong I just play along with it for awhile and let them know after awhile. Yes, I am almost always forgiving to someone that gets me wrong.
