The project has been very slow going babe editing really takes a lot of time. It is hard for me to imagine how the video is going to flow which makes it really hard to edit. Some members of my group seem to forget that we are doing a project. It can be frustrating when I am trying to do work and somebody in my group is stopping me. I am going to have a different group for the independent project. Our rough draft was really just all of our clips edited to how we want but not organized. We need have one more interview scheduled for Thursday that will help the cohesiveness of the video. It will be a little crazy this week but everything should work out.
This reading was particularly interesting because it was so easy to relate to. Quite often we see someone from a different culture do something and we immediately blame it on their country. I have found myself doing that a lot lately. Although I have learned that it is not Always the cultural difference but that it is often the individual just doing weird things. However difference is not always bad and difference quite often teaches us about other people and ourselves.

Blog #9
The project is going very well. We are getting our film together one step at a time. We have started editing but it is a very slow process. We have 2 interviews and are waiting to hear back from one more person about and interview. If we are able to the interview I think the video will turn out really well and if not the documentary will just be okay. The group is having a little bit of trouble working together and I am looking forward to the project being over.
The reading was hard for me to grasp and reminded me why I am not going to study English in college. Cuba is in a difficult place politically. The freedom of speech is a right in which I feel to be completely necessary. In this country we often take for grants our ability to be free. In Cuba even if the law is passed for citizens to have freedom there is going to be trouble enforcing it. Also if people might be afraid to express themselves even if the law is behind them.
